ANDI VAX
A boom of ANDI VAX project is nothing but natural. 10 years of hard work, “Mixing secrets” video tutorial, a number of seminars and several articles in Ukrainian DJ.AM magazine.
KISS FM (a major Ukrainian dance radio) ratings are pure evidence of that. Talking about ANDI VAV tracks dated 2008-2009, nearly all of them were top-placed in Ukrainian TOP 10 chart, and moreover, it has already happened that three of ten tracks in this chart were occupied by ANDI VAX’s works. “Supertzar” has been ranked at 3rd place in TOP 40 World chart of KISS FM that is another high assesment.
His promorank at PROMODJ.RU (and 46th position in sound producers TOP 100) combined with more than 50 000 visitors of his myspace.com page is a significant fact as well.
Recognition on the part of European sound producers goes via his cooperation with Joachim Garraud (27th at DJ.MAG 2008 DJ TOP 100 and David Guetta co-producer), incorporation of his remix on Evgeny Bardyuzha – Termites into Tiesto’s “Clublife 101” set, cooperation offer from Myles Dyson, etc.
His success receipe is – incredible working efficiency + solid theoretical background + vast practical experience multiplied by analogue and VA synthesis hardware that he uses in the studio. Besides the sound production, ANDI deals with mixing and mastering, that one more time confirms his high level of expertise.
In his LIVE sets he works with ABLETON, REASON, MIDI controller and hardware synths. The best of the perfomance are incredible sounds (FX effects, samples and synth solos) that he “fires” from his customized electro guitar.
Talking about CIS (former USSR) countries, it’s quite a task to find a decent rival for ANDI when we mean “club” sound and sound “elegance”.
